Captain America: Civil War (2016)

So as a declaration I'm Team Captain America and well you can't blame me. The reunion of long lost best friends Steve and Bucky, the blooming of a romance between Wanda and Vision and the unveiling of some new superheroes, or just new actors playing them.
So as the poster suggests this film is about Captain America VS Ironman in a fight about ethics and what the true definition of being a superhero is. Is it being responsible for yourself as a superhero and being to determine who to save and when? or is being a superhero meaning that you are ruled by a governing body and you have to ask their permission whether to go out and save people as it could end up in a societal disaster. So who would you go for Captain America, the avenger who is a true hero or Ironman who is being controlled by the government and we all know how that ended up last time.

I rate this film a 15/20.

So I'm thinking of.......

Changing my blog name... Perhaps to;

An English sixthformer with a media mind.

But would that mean I would have to change it if I done get to stay on next September, and when I leave sixthformer what will it be. An English apprentice (not a sorcerer's) with a media mind. Or An English recluse with a media mind.??????

Though recently a thought may be 'an English and Media uni student with nothing better to do'

Best film of my existence (not very long/17 years)- Mr Right (2016)

So it may be the fact that I'm crazy and loves animals as well but I seriously connect with Anna Kendrick in this film. To which she basically is a psycho not cat cat woman who meets a Cray non cat cat guy and are meant to be, yet he's got a special job, being a hitman :) *thumbsup , but he has a consciounce and I'm pretty sure that is spelt wrong. So it's full of amazing gift/gun/dance scenes, a brilliant soundtrack which really shows the film in the correct element and well Sam Rockwell and Anna Kendrick with her in cat ears, is like Dan and Phil (they are youtubers and did present radio 1 on a Sunday, like 3 years ago not sure if they still do.) When they wore cat whiskers and noses.

I rate this film a 19/20. But who am I to say this completely amazing, I'm just a English sixthformer with a media mind.

The Fifth Wave (2016)

This film adaption of Rick Yancey's bestseller tells the struggles of a girl, Cassie (Chloe-Grace Moretz), to find her brother amidst an alien invasion. On the way she falls in love with Ewan (Alex Roe) whilst having a secondary school crush on Ben (Nick Robinson) who also helps save the day, eventually.

The emotions which she has to put aside for her to achieve her target is almighty and this gives Chloe-Grace Moretz a performs which should perhaps win awards. For such a young girl she shows how to present not just how her character is feeling but what the rest of the other characters are feelings. The CGI used on the film is amazing and the coordinated action is highly impressive.

I rate this film a 17/20.

Deadpool (2016)

Now, this film I have anticipating for about three years and here it is and it does not disappoint you.
It follows the story of Wade Wilson who does contracts often to kill but sometimes just to ruff up a bit. But when he meets Vanessa who sees the good in him and can see the truth behind his humour. But, when he finds out he has a life changing illness and is offered a way to stay alive.
But , that meant leaving Vanessa but perhaps he could return.

To return he has to find the man who turned him and it also turns out he cant feel pain so he need to go to extraordinary lengths and its not torture. He teams up with Negasonic Teenage Warhead and Colossus to defeat to not so super superheroes.

I rate this hilarious film 19.5 /20.

Zoolander 2 (2016)

Now, at full disclaimer to you I haven't seen the first Zoolander film I must admit the second Zoolander film was quite enjoyable. Though it was quite humorous that so many people clapped in the part where Justin Bieber dies.

So plot follows the deaths of celebrities who die with the blue steel on their face to help Derek Zoolander and Hansel to save the lives of many people and to reveal the truth about Zoolander's wife's death when she was crushed by the building which was built for 'Kids Who Can't Read Good and Who Wanna Learn to Do Other Stuff Good Too'. Plus the cameo appearances of the gender neutral Benedict Cumberbatch, Billy Zane the postman and a pregnant Kiefer Sutherland.

I rate the film a 16/20.

Star Wars : The Force Awakens (2015)

Now, I totally loved the film with its new cast with a rogue storm trooper and an orphan who has the force but, I think this seems like a remake, one of the best remakes yet still it is a remake.
An orphan finds out they have the force, they are guided by an elder gentleman and have to fight a really evil guy who refuses to see that he will loses by the third film.
Despite this I did like the use of landscaping in the film especially the end scene which was filmed on an island off of Scotland, the new cantina which apparently J.J. Abrams helped write the music for himself and how they still are using Power point slide transition between scenes.
It seems that with J.J. Abrams touch to it the plot seemed to thicken in places where the previous films would have holes to be built on. Also the fact that there was a female lead character played by a up and coming actress, Daisy Ridley and a female villain played by the Game of Thrones actress/model Gwendoline Christie .

I rate this as an independent film a 17/20.
However, as a film which is essentially a remake it rate it as an 18.5/20.
