Scouts Guide to the Zombie Apocalypse (2015)

What would you do if there were a zombie apocalypse which was suddenly thrown on your town?
Well, if I were in a zombie apocalypse I would probably go to a place which was safe and unbreakable, gear up on shovels and know how to get out of any situation. Well, this would come natural to the scouts which if you watch this film you will know.
When faced with an impeding tragedy these three friends have to use their scouting knowledge to survive. Yet, they do get side tracked by a stripper, sorry I mean a Cocktail Waitress, they sing Britney Spears with a zombie and they gear-up in Home depot and get to put their archery badge to work.
With a hint of romanticism by the main scout character, Ben has to rescue the girl even after he kisses the Cocktail waitress and a hint of scary violence at the start when the outbreak starts.

I rate this film a 18/20.

Goosebumps (2015)

If you have read the books before hand, you should know some of R.L. Stine's monsters; Slappy the ventriloquist doll, the abdominal snowman of Pasadena and the Lawn Gnomes. So the story follows a kid who moves to a new town after his dad has died when his next door neighbour is an attractive girl and her dad is R.L.Stine. But, when he tries to save her from her 'abusive' father it turns out nothing looks quite as it seems. so if you open a manuscript the monster from inside comes out. SO what would you do if every Goosebumps monster ever created was trolling around your town. with some great up and coming actors and some well known actors like Jack Black and Jillian Bell.

I rate this film a 17/20.

The unfortunate subtitles for childish teenagers

So today in my Media lesson we were watching the film , Cabin in the woods, to gather codes and conventions about horror films and we do so with the subtitles on but we have reached to a bit where one of teenagers is about to take her blouse off and then a man controlling the pheromone levels in the air with a noises of him and then the subtitle explains the noise [readjusting knob].
Well my class who consists of 16 and 17 year old felt the irony was high at this moment and did not stop laughing for a good 5 minutes.

45 jelly beans

So in my psychology lesson the other week we were learning about conformity. There was a test performed ages ago where a group sat around a table and they guessed how many jelly beans were in the picture. So we decided to do it as a class.
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:JellyBellyBeans.jpg

So I guessed around 150 jelly beans , whilst I was trying to count them, and then people escalated upwards up to 500 jelly beans. But, then it came to getting the opinion of our friend Peachey and she did good and decided to go with her original opinion and not adhere to conformity. 45! That was her answer. Even though just by looking at the picture you could see there was more than that.
Though Kudos to her for sticking with it even though she knew she possibly was wrong, the probability that anyone was actually correct in our class was near impossible but, hey.

Maze Runner 2: The Scorch Trials (2015)

So if you have watched the prequel then you know that a group of teenagers were locked in a maze until they could figure out how to escape and they escaped. So now they are on a mission to escape from wicked but, what if this sense of security is just another form of Wicked well they will find out. With some zombie like creatures that run throughout the film is does seem more of a zombie apocalypse film rather than a dystopian teen survivalist film.
Even though I have read the book series written by James Dashner I see why they did some plot variations and it does seem they were for the films greater good.
With over $275.3 million in box office it as decreased in the aims in box office total since the first Maze Runner film got over $345.5 million in box office.
   I rate this film a 17/20.

The Man from U.N.CL.E (2015)

Originally written by Ian Flemming, the author of James Bond, wrote the book for this. If you have seen the original TV show of Man from U.N.C.L.E then you know the story but for those who don't it's a film about an American spy ( Henry Cavill) and a Russian KGB agent (Armie Hammer) going undercover to help discover and find nuclear war heads with the help of a mechanic (Alicia Vikander) from east Germany. Though there is a popping up of the English getting a touch down with Hugh Grant playing their operative.
This intense action film is set in 1963 so everything is very swinging and that James bond many girlfriends or one night stands appear here. The film is directed by Guy Ritchie who brought you Sherlock Holmes and Lock, Stock and two smoking barrels.
The final two minutes of film also leave it in a way that may say that they will be doing a sequel.

    I rate this film a 17/20.

Fantastic Four (2015)

So if you have watched the previous Fantastic Four Film you should know what its about, a group of people go into space and get his by an energy shower and get powers well that is not the story told by this new film and you know what, It makes it better.
Reid Richards (Milles Teller) invents a teleporter with his new friend Ben Grimm (Jamie Bell) then when they enter their teleporter into the school's science fair they meet Sue (Kate Mara) and Franklin Storm. This is the gateway which Reid needed to get into making his teleporter work. With the help of Johnny Storm (Michael B Jordan), Sue, Ben and Victor Doom (Toby Kebbell) this may or may not work successfully.
With this amazing cast of up and coming actor it shows a totally different perspective and a total different story is thrown on the Fantastic Four.
I rate this film a 17/20.

The Final Girls (2015)

So everyone knows the basic summer camp slasher film narrative? All the stupid people or the people who have had sex die first and the geeky virgin dies last. Well remember that if you ever accidently get stuck in a film.
After seeing her mum die next to her, Max ( Taissa Farmiga) tries the best to remember her for the good times and that consists of avoiding her mum's best selling film, Camp Bloodbath. Yet she gets roped into seeing the Camp BloodBath marathon by her friends Step-Brother and when a fire is set in the cinema Max and 4 of her friends are forced into the screen of the film.
They have to battle the murderer, Billy Murphy, to the death but only a true virgin can kill him and guess who that is left down to, Max.
With love forming between Max and one of her friends, a love forming between Max and her mum's character in the film it is harder to beat the villain than thought. It has an amazing cast and some hilarious moments.

I rate this film a 17/20.

Antman (2015)

If you had just gotten out of prison for Grand Larsony would you break the law again if it meant that you would miss your daughter's childhood? Well, that is exactly what Scott Language says, at first. It seems with these major traits on his CV people don't really want to hire him for anything. But, when he years of a job that could get him the cash he needs to allow him to see his daughter he jumps at it. However, when the safe is empty except for a suit what was the point? Well, maybe the question should be, Why is this suit in a date for in the first place? If you haven't guessed it already, it is the antman suit. It give the person who wears it the ability to shrink to the size of an ant. This film is the second marvel film of the year and it is one of the most action packed films of the year. With a fantastic cast: Paul Rudd, Michael Douglas and Judy Greer.
I rate this thrilling film a 19/20.

Trainwreck (2015)

This is the new comedy featuring Amy Schumer and Bill Haber. Amy stars as a girl whom is nearly an alcoholics loves smoking weed and has had so many one night stands she could have had sex every day of a single year. That is until she meets Aaron (Bill Haber) who is a doctor to major sport stars like Lebron James. She was sent to Aaron to do an article on him for her magazine and also ends up sleeping with him at the first interview. Then, she starts to realise this might be it for her, a woman who's dad told her "Monogamy is not realistic." And that was his reason for divorcing the one love of his life. This film shows some ups, downs and some almost relatable moments. The film also features Tilda Swinton, John Cena and Colin Quinn.
I rate this brilliant film a 18/20.

Hot pursuit (2015)

The new female cop comedy with Reese Witherspoon and Sofia Vergara. After the hit film "The Heat" it seemed that film buffs like the alternative to the all male action film so with this new genre appearing it seems like this film helped break it out more.
The story follows a cop who is born and bred a policeman whom has been on desk duty for a while after Taser gunning a kid after hearing him call "Shotgun!" However, she thought "A concealed weapon." This cop is sent to help protect a cartel informant and his wife. On the way to informing in court there is romance action for the hyper active cop with a criminal , some lesbian distractions for a 9 fingered farmer and a coach full of OAPs experiencing the wild life of a woman who has a pair of diamond encrusted pair of shoes for every mood felt.

Crazy guy in an elevator

So my friends and I had just gone to the pictures to see Antman and we are in the lift at Sainburys when a kid gets in and then is trying to debate what floor to press, there is only one button. He presses it then decides to run out of the lift and then starts talking to the sky.
I could help but wonder if he was trying to talk to the aeroplane flying over head?

Pixels (2015)

Now, I can hardly say I am a world champion at Donkey Kong, Pacman or even Space invaders but, if you are then you would be the appropriate person for a job which entails having to save the planet from video games from the 80s. So, that is exactly what Adam Sandler, Kevin James, Josh Gad, Peter Dinklage and Michelle Monaghan do. They have to learn the patters, fight the amazing chemistry between some of them and having to fight chemistry between a video game character and a real life person. (Spoiler Alert: Video game characters aren't real). This is a brilliant family comedy with the recurring Happy Madison actors.
I rate this great film a 18/20.

If I Stay (2014)

Based on a Best Selling book written by Gayle Forman. This film shows the devastating struggles a teenage girl, Mia (Chloe grace moretz), who after a devastating car crash on a wintry February morning is left in a coma on the brink of letting go of her life or staying. She goes back in time and sees the wonderful moments of her life especially moments of her relationship with her boyfriend of the previous year and a half , Adam (Jamie Blackley). So to prove to herself that playing the Cello in a family of heavy rockers with a boyfriend whom is also a rock band member yet, still loves her for the magic that she can make with her bow and Cello.
This film brought me to tears as well as it made me seriously re-think my life and want to read the book.

I rate this amazing heart-felt film a 19/20. It must be one of the best film of 2014.

The Darkest hour (2011)

If you have just made this awesome app that shows you where the latest bars and clubs are then you would want to fly it around the world to promote your app. And that is how this movie starts with two young men from America who fly to Moscow to show off their new app only to find out their business partner has already sold it to the Russians.
So they hit a club with large amounts of sorrow to help repress all of their bad luck when the electrical invaders start to reign down on earth. That is when everything starts to go downhill. Ok, I understand that they were trying to make a disaster movie seem even remotely realistic which they have mainly mastered however it was still itching with unrealistic features ; being saved by a cage and  balls of electricity extracting minerals from the earth.

I rate this film a 17/20.

Jurassic World (2015)

You would have think that after 3 films they would have learned not to open a dinosaur theme park but, hey they do it anyway and it still is a movie plot that never gets old. Perhaps highly predictable but, it is truly classic.

This time it focuses around siblings much like the first film, though this time they are brothers ; Zach and Gray. They have gone to Jurassic World which is on Isla Nubar, the original island, to visit their aunt who is the Park operations manager. And coincidently once they arrive everything starts to go wrong. This time it isn't the T-Rex or the Raptor which are causing the trouble it is the Indominus Rex which is their new creation of multiple things which create one of the worst killing machine's. If it is going to a carnivore that is bigger than a rex why would you make it camouflage with it's surroundings?
Also, if you have previously repeated in the film that Raptor run at 40 mph and 50 mph during feeding time why did Claire trying to drive away from the Raptor no just drive at about 55 Mph or higher that way her Nephews would definitely not become Raptor food.

However, I felt so happy that the main saviour of the park was Chris Pratt's character because it also helps to suggest that he will be the main feature in this new trilogy. Which has been confirmed.

I rate this film a 18/20.

Paul Blart: Mall Cop 2 (2015)

I remember when I saw the first one in cinemas at 10 thinking it was single-handedly the funniest thing I've seen, obviously I hadn't properly discover the Monty Pythons yet, Mall Cop 2 is still funny. Not absolutely side splitting humour which is often found in an Adam Sandler film but, it made me chuckle at a couple of points.

This time after getting married to Amy, the Damsel of the last film, and staying with her for about 6 weeks Paul is back as a mighty Bachelor. So now known as the Black Friday Saver. Which is the only reason he is invited to the Security Officer Convention at Las Vegas. And of course, there is yet another heist which his moustache's Spidey senses tingled at and obviously didn't believe him.

So, as I sat there and pondered at what exactly I would do in his situation, "Tell the Security Officers who would actually believe him." But, no. That doesn't happen until the end. The film lacked a slightly more interesting storyline and I imagined it to have more for a Happy Madison production.

I rate this film a 13/20.

The perspective burglar

I have always had a fear of someone burglarising my house since I was younger because once I came home with my nan and found her house totally ransacked and that always made me paranoid. So now when I am on my own whenever I hear a creak I think, maybe it's a burglar.
So today my dad took the dog for a short walk around the local housing estate when I heard a creak downstairs whilst I was elsewhere occupied in the toilet, so there is me metaphorically depositing in my underwear at the thought that there is a burglar downstairs. This could possibly happen because sometimes we don't always remember if shut the front door. Then, I hear scuffling and what sounded to me like "Hello!" Which isn't what a person who already knows you are in the house says, so I'm still terrified of going downstairs to find a man trying to find our valuables which I would try to find with him. That is until I heard the heavy scuffling of feet and then the scrapping of the bin in the kitchen floor as the person struggled to remove the bin bag from the bin. To which I sighed with relief that it must be my dad or just a really nice burglar which has offered to take out the rubbish and the glass outside.
Just to say, if I have offended any burglars who take out the trash for their victims whom they will shortly steal from , "I'm sorry for discarding your impeccable manners."

Sam's Moments : The repetitive question

I know that sometime people do forget the answer to a previously asked question but this is seriously getting to me. For the 3rd time in the past week just before we started our final exam of that day Sam sits there after the teacher asks "Does anyone have an important question they need answered before the exam, If not can you fill in the front of the exam." to which Sam put her hand up and asked "Miss, What does forename mean? I know what a first name and a surname is but what's a forename?" To which everyone in the class either sighed or started laughing. "Sam, it is your first name. It's a fancy word for first name." But, the main part of this is that a couple of yeas ago everyone in the year would have put their hands up and asked that question and not be laughed at due to it being a genuine question. But, now it seems to most people like it should be obvious by this age to know what forename means. So my question to you is; is it a stupid question being asked? Or is it a stupid word being used? They could have use a more accessible word like 'First name'. So what should they have used?

Mad Max: Fury Road (2015)

Before I go an further will drop this disclaimer of you, It is an unbelievably rubbish film and I had low expectations but, it sadly met my expectations. Now I will carry on with my post.

the story follows the remake of the original of the Mel Gibson classic, Max (Tom Hardy) is captured by the cult leader Immortan Joe but then is put on the front of a war rig driven by the sick war boy Knux (Nicholas Hoult).  After Imperator Furiosa (Charlize Theron) takes Joe's wives which he usually keeps locked up so he can have healthy babies away from the apocalyptic world struck with an oil and water famine. So to help them escape, Furiosa took the wives and made a descent to the green lands. To be honest I did feel sad when some characters died along the journey and the villain did get killed it the end but, it seems to me that it was a waste of good actors on the worst remake since Jaden Smith's Karate Kid.

I rate this film a 12/20.

Sam's moments : The warm refrigerator

I don't know how hot your country can get but in England it is currently hot which is about 22c. So there was Sam and some other friends and me last Friday on this boiling hot day just waiting for everyone to come out to play. so Sam and I have bought some ice cream blocks and we are eating them yet they are melting pretty quick so Sam looks over to the neighbours front garden where there lay a discarded refrigerator waiting to be picked up by the scrap metal man. to which Sam asks "to stop these ice creams from melting can we put them in that refrigerator?" However, she then answered her own question after looking between the ice creams and the refrigerator, "Oh wait it isn't plugged in." I think for the world reading this there should be a piece of punctuation for moments like these which you can heavily sigh at.

Bag Tekkers

I don't know if you have a friend who you love so much but, it is still funny to irritate them, well I do. His name is Dyll. So today we were sitting in the canteen when he got up and went to see the headmaster as he is head boy and well he has a neat tendency so its funny if where he has 3 folders/books to rearrange books, folders and paper world within each group and so that is what we did. We got the science folder out exchange the science book for an English one and a science test for a maths one. Then, we did similar things to each of the other folder and random sheets. Then, we got his neat pencil case and rearranged the pencils into something like if a unicorn farted.
But, then Dyll started to walk back to the table and so everyone is trying to put the stuff back in his back so he wouldn't notice and he is nearly there and the folders are completely out and he would know immediately something was wrong.
So before I could come up with a better plan I simply pushed the bag over onto the floor so the contents were all on the floor which gave George enough time to put everything back in the bag and Dull just thought it was an accident.
Later in science he opens his bag and we're all just peering over his shoulder to wait to see his face and he just looks at me and goes "It's happened again hasn't it." And so we're all laughing and he's even chuckling and so we explain the bag tellers moment of which was my creation and he starts laughing to.
I don't know about you but, that seemed like the highlight of my day next to a 2 hour 15 minute English exam.

Tim Burton films
-Sleepy Hollow
-Planet of the apes
-Sweeney Todd

Other films

The hitchhiker incident

My friends and I were on the school bus the other month just about to leave school when my friend Billy goes
"How comes there is a hitchhiker standing over there?" Pointing at the man.
At our school many cyclers like to pull in and have a break because it is on the edge of the countryside so we didn't think much of it.
Until, we drove past the said 'hitchhiker' only to realise that it was the French teacher Mr Barratta who just happened to put his thumb up at the wrong time wearing an trench coat and a back pack.
My friend Billy was taught by him for over 3 years yet he still rationalised that it was more likely to be a hitchhiker than a teacher in a school depot.

A new segment: Sam's moment of the week

Now one of my very close friends Sam was not born naturally blonde yet she appears to be blonde on the inside and I can explain how she embraced this.
As the not so quite sharpest knife in the draw she often says some of the simple things in life and well my group of friends now have a quote of the week based on her special quotes which express these blonde qualities.

For example, there was one a bus timetable on the table and my friend just so happened to be talking about going on holiday to the Caribbean to which Sam asked "So you can drive a bus to the Caribbean." To which we thought she was joking turns out she was serious.
Now if you ask her she will simply just say "I meant Airbus like that large plane." We know she didn't mean that.

This week's quote is " It's weird when you think about it that Feathers and Quills look so similar."

Thank You Sam for being to ever clever person we have come to love.

Pitch Perfect 2 (2015)

When I watched the first movie I realised I was more than a small fan if musical type fans than before and so my love for acapella also grew. Now after watching Pitch Perfect 2 I feel even more musically infused. It not only follows Jessie and Becka's relationship but the ever growing slightly grotesque relationship of Bumper and Fat Amy. This time not only will the Barden Bellas sing for the present and show fat Amy's cheeky side but they are now going national with some new awesome singers. And yet again fat Amy 'Crushed it'.
However, the storyline was a bit drier than usual for an Anna Kendrick film perhaps it could have just remained as a solo film yet, I am still grateful for the musical.
    I rate this film a 16/20.

A Testament of Youth (2015)

A film based on the war memoirs of Vera Brittain, a pacifist, nurse and writer. When the second world war started it was her, her brother Edward and her two friends Roland and Victor. Then to feel closer to the ones she loves she decides after working so hard to get a place at Oxford getting a masters in writing she will join the war effort as a nurse. That is when life for young Vera gets a lot more complicated. The film shows her determination to put aside the typical aims if what a women should be like in the 1940s, to not be a housewife, to have a meaningful job, to support herself away from the glare of her family yet to still be in the arms of the one she loves, Roland. Yet war gets in the way of all if that. Ever though most things are changed by war her thought and expectations and even opinions of herself and life are not really changed at all. She realises that the war's grief did not just hit us it hit them, deaths hit her as well as the Germans and so with that knowledge and grief she wrote, A testament of youth and many other war books based on her memoirs and other such like. I personally could not stop crying after the first 15 minutes and it is a brilliant film for Kit Harrington, Colin Morgan, Taron Egerton and Alicia Vikander.
I rate this film a 19/20.

The Immitation Game (2014)

This is the true life story of Alan Turing, the father of Computers who was prosecuted in the 1950s for being homosexual which the law claimed it was 'Extreme indecency'. The film follows the story of Alan when he was younger when he lost his childhood love, Christopher, and when in the 1930s-1940s he was busy solving the enigma machine with the help of a brilliant female mind (Kiera Knightley) and some other guys. It made me personally cry and it was a brilliant performance by Benedict Cumberbatch.

    I rate this amazing film a 17/20.

Divergent: Insurgent (2015)

If you have watched the first film you would know that life in a dystopian world is hard especially if you do not fit into society's strict regime. But, for Tris (Shailene Woodley) she has already gone against the governments system of dividing people by their personalities but, as a divergent person she can fit into more than one personality group. After breaking out of the Dauntless compound to save Abnegation's people from being slaughtered by mind-slaves she is now on the run with her Boyfriend, Four (Theo James), his dad, Marcus, Tris's brother ,Caleb (Ansel Elgort), and Peter (Miles Teller). She has one aim though, To kill Jeanine Matthews who is the main boss person and who ordered the slaughter to happen. the journey to kill Matthews get you to meet the true factionless, show Candor's true colours and see why Tris has nightmares at night. With even more CGI and kick ass moments.

I rate this film a 17/20.

Avengers: Age of Ultron (2015)

After the first avengers film all of the other inter series films we know that there are these magical objects that can control main things and the either and the tesseract are part of them. Now after going to all that trouble of getting the tesseracts it is taken by an artificial intelligence system called Ultron which is Tony Stark's new system. It then goes rogue and enlists the help of the gifted twins Scarlet witch and Quicksilver the Maximoff siblings to help cause the extinction of the avengers. With a sub-plot of the hulk falling of love and spoiler alert it isn't Thor and we now know never to use fowl language around Captain America. With better CGI and green screen scenes than ever before.
I rate this film a 18/20.

Wednesday 8 April 2015

Fast and Furious 7 (2015)

If the bad guy in the last film is not dead then there has to be a link and well this time it is brotherhood. Jason Statham plays Shaw's brother and he want revenge for his brother being nearly killed. So the group gets sad moments, exploding moments, goddamn sexy car moment, Letty and don't moments, Brian and Mia moments, Roman and Roman moments and awesome street fights where the street wins. The CGI of Paul Walker at the end is truly amazing and the montage of Walker's moment in the F and F series truly made me have a tear to my eye. However, it does make me ask the question, How are they going to kill off Brian for F and F 8 ?
I give this amazing mind blowing brilliant car movie a 19/20.

Sunday 5 April 2015

Horrible Bosses 2 (2014)

If you've seen the first Horrible Bosses then you will know that Kurt,Nick and Dale have all ready tries to Murder their bosses. Well, now they have tried kidnapping. The create a new product and put it for purchase by a major businessman and his son (Chris Pine) but, then they cancel the deal last minute. The boys have lost over 500000 dollars and they plan to kidnap the son. Yet they weren't plan on laughing gas, the return of the sexual predator Julia(Jennifer Anniston), Mofo Jones' (Jamie Foxx) help and an absolute psycho son who ends up turning of the boys. With amazing comedic moment whilst in an AA meeting and some more action filled moment during the slightly weir police chase.
If you liked We're the millers and Horrible Bosses 1 then you will definitely love this film.
I rate this film a 18/20.

MOVIE NEWS : Sherlock, Fast and Furious 8, X-files reboot and a Lost spin-off series.

Sherlock has announced for Season 4 that it will be emotional and dark in places. Which has rumours and my thoughts to wonder; Will there be a death of a regular cast member or will Sherlock finally defeat the villain he claims to be missed.

Rumours have started to circulate that in the plans for Fast and Furious 8 people have put forward the idea of having Dame Helen Mirren as the villain. Is there going to be a deliberate link to the English villains of the previous fast and furious villains to her character if it happens.

Also, Fast and Furious 8 might start off a new trilogy which has been mind mapped to be set in New York.

It has been confirmed that Arrow's Stephen Amell will be featuring in TMNT 2.

IP man 3 will CGI Bruce Lee into the film and Mike Tyson has also be confirmed to be in it.

That's 70s show has been rebooted for another season which is to be set in the 90s and Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis have already accepted roles but, what about Topher Grace??

Good news for Sci-Fi buffs X-files is also being rebooted for a six episode long series which the main characters have also been confirmed.

Sony Pictures are looking at expanding Spiderman into a new cinematic multiverse.

ABC will be reviving Lost for a spin-off series named Lost: Awakening.

The trailer for Arnold Schwarzenegger's new movie Maggie has been released and the film is set on an apocalyptic zombie infested world and Arnie's daughter is one of the infected. What I want to know is if he dies there will he be back.

Tron 3 is to be called Tron: Ascension.

The Duff (2015)

To be told that you are the Duff of the group that can be weird but then when it is explained then it becomes offensive. designated Ugly Fat Friend. Well that is what Bianca was told she was by her friendly neighbour/jock. So to help de-duff herself she enrolled the help of the neighbour Wesley. he could help her fit in with girl and be the girl who approached not the approachable one and in return Bianca is tutoring Wesley in Science. With some peck dancing, cookie monster voices, snogging moments and some absolutely bitchy moments it is a brilliant film. If you liked the display of social media in 'Men, Women and children' then this will blow that well and truly out of the water INA better high school flick since Mean Girls. I rate this film a 19/20.

The new geneticist in the park has crated a new dinosaur, Indominus Rex, a hybrid dinosaur which is slightly like the t-rex. They did this to increase the attendance of visitors to the park however something in the park goes wrong, yet again. In my opinion you would have thought that they have learned by now.

Maze Runner (2014)

If you woke in a random box with no memory of who you are, What would you do? Well, for Thomas ti was to run though he hadn't planned on falling straight on his face. That was how he entered the world of The Concrete Maze. Though, he is not the only person who is in the maze there are over a hundred boys all under the age of 21. That is until Theresa came up from the whole. However, the thing which is so special about her is that she has a bit of memory which just so happens to be about Thomas. During the day people try and run around the maze so they can map it out and by night they try and configure a map. The problem to this method is though, the maze changes everyday as well as there are robotic type of spider creatures called Grievers who are guarding the maze and but they are not as cute and fluffy as actual spiders. With Thomas and Theresa's help they may just make it out of the maze. But, what is waiting for them on the other side? I rate this film a 18/20. However, it is considerably better than the book written by James Dashner.

Ender's Game (2013)

Over 100 years after the first attack and war with the alien species who nearly destroyed Earth people are still trying to train and predict the next time World War 4 will happen. That is when Ender ( ASa Butterfield) comes in to this. Ender is a 15 year old boy who is training to be a space cadet and he has a definitely unique way at looking at the strategies of War. That is why one of the commander Generals (Harrison Ford) and a war hero ( Ben Kingsley) takes special attention to him. On his mission Ender has to train a squadron of over 200 teenagers in the true art of destroying a species as well as being at war with his own mind in a computer game which may or may not be more fiction to the made-up game. There may be death and destruction in his wake yet he still has an extraordinarily large conscience for a genocide.
I rate this film a 19/20.

Men, Women and Children (2014)

This movie is a movie like Valentines day and Love Actually. This movie follows the stories of multiple people who are all joined at one point however what seems like the main character is the daughter of a protective creepy woman (Hillary Swank). She has her phone and laptop checked by her mum every day. The story also follows the daughter's boyfriend (Ansel Elgort), a couple who are definitely not attracted to each other anymore, a kid who really like imagining his fantasies with a girl and a football and a girl who believes that by taking sexy pics and putting it on her acting website she will be spotted by people in Hollywood. the one main common thing between everyone is Social Networking. The film takes a defiantly emotional journey for every character some more than other and with some character trying to protecting their children may just cause other children to nearly die.
I rate this film a 19/20. Reminder: this film is not for the faint hearted especially towards the end.

Big Hero Six (2014)

To have your parents leave you at such a young age it makes you feel distraught but for Hiro he then he loses his most favourite person in the world. That is not before he is shown by his brother one of his inventions', BAYMAX. BAYMAX is a healthcare robot that looks like a balloon version of the Michelin man. Hiro then takes on his shoulders the fate of some people's lives, a group of scientists who want to be superheroes and robot that really loves hugging. I can successfully say that I believe that this is one of the best Disney film of the last decade or even not the best Disney film since Hercules. As well as this is one of the best animated version of a Marvel comic. The 3-D computer animated film brings a whole new meaning to cartoon films yet it isn't to realistic to get to the creepy stage in between CGI and cartoon animation. I rate this film a 18/20.

Big Eyes(2015)

It takes a lot for you to run away from your husband especially for an artist stay at home mum. So when Margaret finds a man who truly loves her artwork she thinks she has won everything. But, when he tries to sell her work as his own she started to be adgitated but, when he makes sexist comment about how women won't have be respected in the art world. Though, this was true in the 60s when the film was based. In the end Margaret get annoyed and fed up by her husband Mr.Keane so she moved to Hawaii, became a jahova witness and sued her husband for all he was worth. This true story was directed by Tum Burton which was surprising amazing for the fact that it was not his usual cult-movie. With an amazing cast which helps Margaret Keane's story about her Big Eyed children with the like of Amy Adams, Christopher Waltz and Krysten Ritter. I rate this film an 19/20.

Into the woods (2015)

We all know the classic fairytales, Red Riding hood's gran has big eyes to see her with, Jack got 5 magic beans not 5 gold coins and Rapunzel has extremely long hair for her prince to climb up. But, that's where it starts to turn off track. A wicked witch (Meryl Streep) who put a curse on a Baker (James Corden) and his wife (Emily Blunt) gets them to gather certain items so she can go back to the youthful ways she once had and in return she will lift the curse and let them be able to have a child. It is the best Broadway musical adaptation ever. With music from the great Stephen Sondheim and when people say its a musical do believe them truly. I rate this film a 18/20.
